How we show up

Community Guidelines

MenSpace works when members can speak honestly without sacrificing respect, privacy, or safety. These standards apply in rooms, direct messages, live sessions, profiles, and attachments.

1. Lead with respect

Challenge ideas without attacking people. Do not bully, shame, threaten, insult, stalk, or target anyone because of identity, background, beliefs, health, or personal circumstances.

Different experiences can coexist. Listen before advising, avoid dismissive language, and give others room to step away.

2. Support without diagnosing

Speak from your own experience and present suggestions as peer support, not professional instructions. Do not diagnose another member, prescribe treatment, or pressure anyone to stop professional care.

When a situation appears urgent or beyond peer support, encourage the person to contact qualified help or local emergency services.

3. Protect privacy

Do not share, screenshot, record, forward, or publish another member’s messages, images, voice-session content, identity, or personal details without clear permission.

Anonymous display is a trust feature, not permission to deceive or harm. Do not attempt to uncover or expose another member’s identity.

4. Respect boundaries and consent

A room conversation is not automatic permission to begin persistent direct messaging. Respect blocks, refusals, requests to stop, and decisions to leave a conversation or live session.

Sexual harassment, coercion, unwanted explicit content, grooming, exploitation, and threats are prohibited.

5. Keep the community safe

Do not encourage self-harm, suicide, violence, abuse, dangerous challenges, or illegal activity. Never post sexual content involving minors or content that exploits a vulnerable person.

If there is immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Reporting content to MenSpace is useful for platform moderation but is not an emergency-response service.

6. Be authentic and relevant

Do not impersonate others, deliberately spread harmful misinformation, manipulate members, solicit money deceptively, spam, or use rooms for unauthorized promotion.

Keep posts reasonably relevant to each room and avoid repeatedly disrupting conversations.

7. Share responsibly

Only upload content you have permission to share. Avoid posting phone numbers, addresses, financial details, workplace secrets, or other information that could expose you or someone else to harm.

Graphic or potentially distressing content should not be posted unless the room clearly permits it and an appropriate content warning is provided.

8. Use reporting tools thoughtfully

Report concerning users or content with enough context for administrators to assess it. Do not weaponize reports to punish disagreement or make knowingly false allegations.

Block a member when you need immediate personal distance; blocking and reporting serve different purposes.

9. Moderation

Administrators may issue guidance, remove content, mute participation, restrict features, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users depending on severity, repetition, and risk.

Serious safety threats, exploitation, unlawful content, ban evasion, or retaliation against a reporter may result in immediate action.

10. A shared responsibility

Pause before posting, protect what was shared in confidence, and remember that there is a person behind every username. The goal is not perfect agreement; it is a community where men can be heard without being harmed.
