Your information

Privacy Policy

This Policy explains the information MenSpace collects, why it is used, how it is protected, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: 29 July 2026

1. Information we collect

Account information may include your name, username, email address, country, state, age range, password hash, profile details, avatar, interests, and privacy preferences.

Community information includes room memberships, posts, direct messages, attachments, reactions or message actions, voice-session participation, therapy-session requests, reports, blocks, and communications with administrators.

Technical information may include IP address, browser and device details, session activity, timestamps, security events, and diagnostic logs.

2. How we use information

We use information to create and secure accounts, personalize identity and room access, deliver conversations and notifications, operate voice sessions, process user requests, enforce community standards, investigate reports, maintain audit records, and improve reliability.

We may also use contact details for essential account notices such as email verification, password resets, security alerts, and important policy changes.

3. Identity and anonymity

Anonymous display mode uses an alias in room messages. It does not hide your account from authorized administrators. Direct messages, voice sessions, shared files, and personal details you post may reveal who you are.

Changing your display mode does not rewrite names saved on older messages. MenSpace conversations are not end-to-end encrypted. Other participants can copy or screenshot what you share.

4. Sensitive conversations

MenSpace is designed for personal peer-support discussions, which may contain sensitive information. Share only what you are comfortable disclosing and avoid posting unnecessary identifying details about yourself or another person.

Direct messages and private rooms limit who can access content through the normal interface, but authorized administrators may access information when reasonably required for safety, moderation, support, security, or legal compliance.

5. Legal bases and legitimate purposes

Depending on the law that applies, we process information to perform our agreement with you, pursue legitimate interests in operating a safe community, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, or act with your consent.

6. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information. Information may be shared with service providers that support hosting, storage, email, security, communications, and voice-session delivery, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

We may disclose information when required by law, to investigate fraud or abuse, to enforce our rules, or where reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, MenSpace, or the public.

7. Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service and for legitimate security, moderation, legal, and operational purposes. Retention periods vary by data type and context.

Account deletion does not necessarily remove content already shared with other users or records that must be retained for legal, safety, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution reasons.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including access controls and password hashing. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so use a unique password and report suspected unauthorized access promptly.

9. Your choices and rights

You can update profile information and privacy preferences, change your password, block users, manage participation, and request account deletion through available account tools.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or request a portable copy of your information. Requests may require identity verification and may be limited where the law permits.

10. Children’s privacy

MenSpace is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts. If you believe a minor is using the platform, report it to MenSpace.

11. Updates and contact

We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the platform or applicable requirements. Material changes will be communicated through a reasonable channel.

Privacy questions and rights requests can be submitted through the official MenSpace support channel when available.
